SplitTime ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SplitTime mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use SplitTime:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email from those services.
- Custody schedule data: The custody patterns, periods, overrides, and calendar data you create within the app.
- Sharing data: When you share a calendar with a co-parent, we store the connection between your accounts.
- Device information: Basic device type and operating system version for app compatibility.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the SplitTime app and its features
- Sync your custody calendar between your devices and with shared users
- Send you important account notifications (e.g. shared calendar invitations)
- Improve the app based on usage patterns (anonymised and aggregated)
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Microsoft Azure servers located in Australia. We use industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS)
- Secure authentication with JWT tokens
- Encrypted password storage using industry-standard hashing
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Microsoft Azure: Cloud hosting and database services
- RevenueCat: Subscription and in-app purchase management
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your data with:
- Co-parents you explicitly invite to share a calendar
- Third-party service providers listed above, solely to operate the app
- Law enforcement, if required by Australian law
6. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing

7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove all your personal data and custody schedule information within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
SplitTime is designed for adult co-parents. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. The app stores custody schedules which may reference children's names, but this data is controlled entirely by the parent users.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
