Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about SplitTime — the Australian co-parenting calendar app for separated families.

What is SplitTime?

SplitTime is an Australian co-parenting calendar app for separated and divorced parents. It lets you manage your custody schedule, share it with your co-parent so you both see the same calendar, and find the nights you're both kid-free. It's available on iPhone (iOS) and Android.

Is SplitTime free?

SplitTime is free to download and comes with a 14-day free trial. After that it's just $9.99/year — under $1 a month. You can also pay $2.99/month, or make a one-off $29.99 payment for lifetime access. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD), and current pricing is always shown in the app before you subscribe.

How does SplitTime work?

You set up your custody pattern (for example week-about or 2-2-3), then invite your co-parent so you both share one live calendar. Handovers, swaps, school holidays and public holidays all appear in one place, so there's less confusion about whose day it is.

Can both parents use the same calendar?

Yes. One parent sets up the calendar and invites the other with a code. Once they join, both parents see the same schedule and any changes update for both of them in real time.

What is the Kid-Free Finder?

The Kid-Free Finder compares two co-parenting calendars — yours and your new partner's — and instantly shows the nights when neither of you has the kids. It's designed for blended families who want to find time together.

Does SplitTime work in Australia?

Yes — SplitTime is built for Australian families. It includes state-specific school holidays and public holidays for NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, TAS, NT and ACT, and all pricing is in Australian dollars.

Can I track shared expenses and who owes who?

Yes. You can log shared costs such as school fees or medical bills, split them 50/50, and SplitTime keeps a running total of who owes who so you can settle up.

What custody schedules does SplitTime support?

SplitTime supports common arrangements like week-about (7/7), 2-2-3, 2-2-5-5 and alternating weekends, as well as custom patterns and care ratios such as 50/50 or 60/40.

Can I use SplitTime for a parenting plan?

Yes — you can turn an agreed parenting plan into a clear shared calendar that both parents follow. SplitTime is a scheduling tool and does not provide legal advice.

Is my information private and secure?

Your schedule is only visible to the people you choose to share it with. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

What devices does SplitTime run on?

SplitTime is available as a free download on both iPhone (iOS) and Android.

How is SplitTime different from other co-parenting apps?

SplitTime is built specifically for Australian families, with local school and public holidays and AUD pricing. It focuses on calm, simple logistics rather than conflict, and includes a Kid-Free Finder for blended families — features most overseas co-parenting apps don't offer.

Can I share my calendar with a new partner or family member?

Yes. You can give a partner, friend or family member view-only access so they can see the schedule without being able to change it.

How do I get started with SplitTime?

Download SplitTime from the App Store or Google Play, set up your custody schedule from a few simple options, then invite your co-parent to share it.

Can I change a single day without changing the whole pattern?

Yes! Use the swap day feature to override individual days. These overrides take priority over your base pattern and any period arrangements.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us at support@splittime.com.au and we'll delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
